vinted app redesign
overview
As someone who cares deeply about sustainability and conscious consumption, I’m drawn to Vinted’s mission of helping users cherish their possessions, discover unique pieces, and shop more responsibly. This project explores a redesign of the Vinted app with the goal of improving functionality, visual hierarchy, and overall user experience.
Goal: Streamline the customer app by reducing unnecessary steps and clutter, while introducing a background removal tool during seller uploads to create a cleaner, more attractive product feed.
My approach: Early testing revealed several issues: unclear product purpose, repetitive information, dense text, and difficulty navigating to key content. My redesign focused on simplifying the structure, clarifying the value proposition, and establishing a stronger visual hierarchy.
As the sole designer, I worked end to end in Figma, created custom illustrations in Illustrator, and developed the moodboard using imagery sourced from Pinterest.
The final prototype can be viewed here.

Improvements were needed in the search functionality, including better filtering by size and other criteria. I also aimed to make the “How It Works” section more visible on the homepage and introduce clearer filter options across the app. Additional goals included simplifying the sign-in process, enabling user profile creation, and presenting FAQs in collapsible drop-downs rather than redirecting users to separate pages.
